Iphone 3G...

it's here...almost.it's early then expected or from what i heard or read previously.

when? July 11th.

and if you are asking what about us here?

from what i read, "as starters the iPhone 3G will be available in 22 countries as of 11 July 2008-Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and the US-and availability will be further expanded to cover up to 70 countries worldwide before the end of the year."

I just wonder how many macusers just cum wet themselves? U know how they are-throw them an apple or mentioned the word, they all lit up.

how much? starting @ US$199 for 8Gb version and comes in black or white.

however, like the 1st gen (2G version) the camera remains at 2 Mega pix and no front camera for video conferencing/calling unless u stand in front of a mirror. shame!

of course, there are other good stuffs. I'm no phone expert, for that check out yourself at apple.com

Gucci for Chinese ???

yesterday i posted about the real/fake prada store, but what have we got here today. I cannot believe myself what i saw after hopping to one of my dailies, Man's Bag.

Gucci decided to cash-in contribute on the 2008 Beijing Olympics. yup! they created a special one-off, limited pieces, simply titled 8-8-2008 Limited Edition; and they dun come cheap, i tell you. Guess how many pieces? EIGHT! the chinese just gonna loved them.

What else chinese love? its a given fact: RED, and wah lah...may i present you...

great for the coming CNY? $ 1,415 I-Gucci watch, the company's first digital timepieceeven the panda got gucci-tagged!

and wat else chinese love? ooo...MAHJONG!!!! (ok ok...i dun mind owning this one!!!)

a $3,150 Mahjong set covered in red La Pelle Guccissima leather (why not)... :)

however i think the pièce de résistance should be this: a $3,420 bicycle with bold red double GG leather details

can u imagine the proud mainland chinese cycling in one of this? or Leon Lai cycling it with Maggie Cheung at the back seat in Tian Mi Mi. hmm...not!!!

so all eager gucci lovers, all these items will be exclusive to Gucci boutiques in China, Hong Kong, and Macau. so hurry! i bet some of them will be sold out soon...knowing how they loooove their designer stuffs plus these comes with 'sentimental value'. ka-ching. (all pics)

ps. i cant wait to see the advertorial for these...as according to report, chinese actor- Huang Xiao Ming will be featured. (will post when i see them)

road trip, raybans & wedding...

wah hei...i'm a happy happpy happpy bunnyyyyyy...

Saturday, i went for a road trip to KBtown with Zar, James & met up w/ Val & S for lunch @ the original rojak/cucur udang/icekacang place. where? here lah.

Well, this trip was arranged by J, and u cannot say NO to a free ride all the way to KBtown for lunch. Plus he won himself a treat from bidarlah as he correctly

guessed this place previously;

got to say, he also guessed quite a few correctly lah. Damn Well done yo!

I'm sure James will blog all about his dayout, as he did take quite a few pics. So i will leave tat to him.

but why am i happy?

post lunch, we went shopping...well...how shld i say it? walking around the 2 rows of shops. Yeah...more like it...tat's it. But hei, was it a fruitful walk, or IT IS!!!!

1. i bought my secret santa pressie for shhhhhh!!! phew! done...

2. i bought myself another sunnies. yes! another pair...after buying one pair in Japan & one in HK - which i looooved but this one is a MUST. Cos i hv been looking for it high and low.

Earlier in the year i fell in love with the rayban's Wayfarer, and bought the
1980's version in tortoise color but wat i really wanted was the black ones. But just no way to be found plus its in minted condition man...and at a bargain. Trust me! bargain...its a keeper and collector item (my first rayban) Not the re-released ones.

Then i saw the black original ones, on Saturday in one of the shops.

clue for me, its original/ vintage sunnies.

1. the shop sells sunglasses and watches ONLY.

2. the shop had been there for donkey years.

3. all the sunnies are OLD and there are no new stocks like ever since.

4. An Ah-Gong looked after the shop ever since.

5. U can bargain. However, do check the frames & lenses carefully.

The one i bought is this one...
In case u like me, wondering how come the black one got no rayban logo...did i got ripped off, silly fool?

hmm...i dun think so, cos it came with the black leather rayban wayfarer casing, and the 'glass' lens is engraved with the BL (like all orginals)and the inside side frame is engraved with B&L RAY-BAN U.S.A with the model code. hmm...so i tot wow...original la and did not realised the missing logo. hmm...until

so i googled as me no expert in raybans and found out it's actually the1960's RayBan wayfarer. 1960's original leh!!! (i emailed this store, and now await their confirmation if it's authentic), the frame is slightly smaller than the 1980's tortoise one. Nonetheless, for the time being, i say its VINTAGE man!!!! and that deserves a celebration. And let me tell you guys, Rayban collectors...it's heaven for you guys....i tell you. Unfortunately, i only want the wayfarer. so if you guys want aviators...check it out...all kinds and bargain man.

Today...

went to Rozie & Zadi's Bersanding (wedding)- i think this could well be my first Malay wedding i attended in my life. Ok...maybe when i was young, i may have but i dun recalled; so tat doesn't count right? ok ok...not true cos last week i went to another Malay wedding but not the traditional at home type cos it's at a hotel. Well...as long there are food, i'm happy. I wanted to take photos of the place, food, day and all but it's (quite) hot and the floor is (slightly) muddy. So did not, but got talking to Gman himself- he is like he claimed on his blog, he is a funny papa/guy, and yes...payperpost works. check it out.

Anyway...CONGRATS to both the pengantin.

summer trip part 8 : BangKathy

our summer trip - the extended version (or not!)

Our 2 days stopover @ BKK and also to meet up with our gorgeous Kathy-not a day over 28 lah. happy u! *heheAfter all the high in Tokyo, i got to say, BKK was a downer for me. I'm sure there were some 'up' moments for elim hehe. shhh!!! The city in general was dirty -which Mag defended as it's characters. The taxi drivers well...some are really kind and a couple of them are real CONMAN. Serious. Let me summarize them for you: THEY ARE CONMAN!

wat happened? 1. On rainy days, taxi fares quadrupled and some don't even want to take us. (well same as KL lah)

2. They will say, "help me, help you". So remember cheap rides comes with a price. No free lunch. Once u hopped onto their cabs, they will bring you to the world's biggest gem factory (so they claimed) so they will get a stamp for free gallons of petrol. This is a conspiracy between the taxi drivers and factories. They will sweet talk and make conversation to get you there and once got what they wanted, silence.

3. They will drop you in a restaurant they conspired with, and leave you there; despite arguing it's not the place you wanted. You got no choice but get out of the taxi.

4. They tried to 'recommend' you places and God forbids, if you declined and insisted on going to your destination, their faces turned black and sounded pissed off.

So to the Thai Tourism Board, for all the work you guys try to promote your country, shame on your taxi drivers in giving a bad impressions to the tourists.

Shopping in BKK is not cheap. WHO SAY IT IS? ooo... aunties and uncles. Really. where? ok, maybe the market and the big MBK centre, but the stuffs they sell are hmm...just say catered for aunties and uncles lah.

Big departmental stores stuffs aint cheap and designer stuffs aint cheap either (some are even more expensive than tokyo).

Ok ok! they have a huge shopping centre. Massive actually. Worth a look and visit i must say. Interiors for all the stores/cafes are amazing. Even a simple ice cream parlour is so so well designed.
mine mine.

Food was supposed to be good: think tom yum, think spicy, think ice tea. Where did we go and fill our stomach?

First nite as arranged by le'qua we had steamboat or in sherry's case: hotpot. Dunno why the taiwanese called them hotpot.

We went to a chain restaurant (left) and the food wasn't that great nor that bad. So-so. As usual, we being greedy opted for 2 soup favours haha! why not? and got to say, their tom yum broth wasn't oily nor over powering spicy. Nice. But their portion of food not big enough to fill us vultures.

Give it a try when you guys heading there.

Some of you guys heard of Bed Bar. think Carrie & Co in SATC. yup! where you can dine, drink, if lucky (*winked) sleep on the bed and dance too. We went to the BKK one the following night called Bed Supper Bar.

and yes...i slept on the bed. so does our disco queen-the one on the left as the one of the right busy...

there are 2 parts or zones: bed or bar. the latter was packed like sardines so we resorted to find a bed for us to jump/lie and 'look around'. (*hehe!) It wasn't easy to find one at first, as it was rather packed in here too; but after back and forth, up & down the club, we found one, and danced around it.

The crowd, not that interesting but at least it was my first experience in BED. It allowed me to nap off the 10% alcohol in my drinks on the big white bed. (*hahaha)

Chasing the Blue Elephant
literally, all of us (in 2 separate taxis) are looking for the blue restaurant ala amazing race style. W&M's taxi dropped them in some restaurant (point 3) and insisted it's the right one. Then the next 2 taxis do not know where the elephant is.

As for our taxi, where do i start? we wrote the address in thai, dunno where? cab driver called his friends, still dunno where? almost one hour later, from no rain to rain, still dunno where? asked around the area, got redirected, still lost. Finally, finally finally...we got there. goodness!

I do wonder, if the blue elephant establishment is famous, and recommended by critics, why come no bloody taxi drivers know where? idiot!

is the food any good? it was good, i got to say and we all have a great time. O because we were really hungry by then. No seriously, the food was nice. The ambiance was great too. Very colonial style and full of ang-mohs. How come no locals?

Anyway, we had a great time and post dinner, we went on a scary journey. No joke.

The taxi took us ALL of us in one cab (yes!) to a clubbing area. That journey took us like forever. Up the highway, down the highway and through the toll way, passed some industrial areas and it was dark. Then finally we arrived in a clubbing area. Literally, rows of clubs & bars. Only to find out, on our way back to the hotel, it's just like 5 mins drive from our hotel. HUH? wat the f**K?

It was a saturday night, free entrance and all, and i got to say. The clubs are banging and packed with sardines. Seriously. Nin nia have never seen such packed clubs before. EVER, where u literally danced shoulder to shoulder. HOW to dance, may i ask? excuse me, excuse him, excuse her, in and out, madness. No crowd control one meh. I'm tired even to write about this, and by this time, all of us was tired and wanting to head back, but not our dear 'always tired' kathy who seemed to be full of energy then.

finally the end of the holiday...

we all have to say our goodbyes to Kathy as our flight was scheduled differently, so we ended up (wasting her time & money-as said by her) to go sight seeing. when will we see you again?

at the airport, queuing up, all of us are really really tired. 'N me in my superfine ic! berlin sunnies (*haha!) Ok, i got to say this is one of my impulse purchases in Tokyo and i am loving it. Superfine, superlight and superme.

our luggages and u can just imagine, with 5 of us travelling through 2 cities for 10 days, sure overweight one lah. If i say No, u believe?

ps. we are now not planning for our summer 2008. hmm...

phone wagon...

seriously...every big brand now is coming up with their own handphone. To recap: we had the gold Dolce & Gabanna w/Motorola, Armani w/Samsung, CK w/Samsung, Prada w/LG, and now we have the Levi's mobile. No joke.

This Levi's mobile phone is made of steel. Yes! Steel. Why? Cos how many of you have complained or still complaining about phone rosak lah, drop it and it break or crack; so they harden it up. It also comes with a belt loop or bag to prevent from 'jealous' friends stealing it. (pic)

So far i can't find the specs, but there will be a camera, music playback and media sharing features for their demographic users i.e. youngsters.

Another big house is rumored to be releasing their own phone as well. Yup! Kuuccci... GUCCI.
I wasn't sure if i wanted to brag about this cos loads of netizens are saying it's photo-shopped. (pic) You guys be the judge. If it's real, why does all the new phones look similar? (like the aiiii phone)

Letters to Hermes, BV and LV, Quick!!!!

Look Mr BV, if you can hook up with Nokia and add ur weave onto the 8800, it'll be brilliant.

Wait a sec, apparently ISSE Monaco Nokia 8800 already had this in production and they do not come cheap! (pic)

They are for those with too much money to spare and are sold in Russia. Seriously!!!

They comes in gold, silver, platinum and color enamel, inlaid with diamond or ruby or garnet or other gemstones, and for those who complained that their screen got scratched, worry not cos it's made with a scratch resistant sapphire glass. Damn!

If that is not enough to lure you into getting one, each phone comes in a unique box made from various rare timbers. Do i hear order?

While i'm on the head end of the mobile phone/topic, Vertu teamed up with Ferrari. (pic) So when two overpriced expensive gadgets collided, we have - Vertu Ferrari 1947.

It's not vintage, dun be fool by the number. It's 1947 cos there are only 1947 of this made crafted. According to gizmodo, it has a scaled-down replica of the Ferrari brake pedal in aluminium on the back and the company's signature horse on the front and a black and red leather trim.

How much? Dunno. However, set to release next month. So if you cant own the car, at least part of it. well...

a driving shoe that goes from flat to heel at the push of a button. Not kidding! (pic)
And i betcha Fergie would agree, it's GLAMOROUS (*my fav track). It's very Agent Provocateur.

Wat you ladies think? Would you get it? would you wear it? It's no gimmick. It's for those ladies who got their heel scuffed at the back, or caught underneath the pedal. So now problem solved. Safety meets fashion.

I just found out. They are back. Love them or loathe them or simply sour grape?

Yes! those 'i'm not a plastic bag' bag is back with different colors: blue, green or charcoal grey, accordingly to this site from June 20th. hmm...unfortunately, to keep this batch exclusive, Hindmarch have ensured that only a random selection of fashionistas will get hold of them. So if you have not already signed up to her newsletter, you will not be eligible to buy one.

Another bummer is even if you have the privilege of buying one of them, you won't get to pick your colour preference.

How much you asked? £21.78 (inc p&p and VAT) ooo...you do get a free book.

So Sinfully D & Scarlot, are u ladies on their list?

really limited...

now this is wat i call: limited.

i was googling to see where i can get hold of a chocolate fondue machine. com'on it's only time i should get one as, i admit i'm a proud Chocoholic Anonymous.- one bite at a time. And those fondue machine, i tell you, at the B&B party, they had one and it's so much fun or shall i say, for me haha! cos I just sat round it almost the whole night. I'm serious.

Where can i get one locally? any idea? any particular brand is good?

well well well...(pic) guess wat? i ended up in selfridges and i found this.

Giles & Posner produces this 'exquisite Gold Plated Chocolate Fountains' with only 4 available at £5000 a piece. As a limited edition, they are the most luxurious and exceptional chocolate fountains in the world. They are cordless, re-chargeable and work with virtually any chocolate.'

You can get the stainless steel version for £229.50

for me...i think i go for the normal wired version. tat will do me happy. Only £40.

while on the limited & overpriced subject...

Again exclusive to Selfridges, a Diamond Encrusted Straightener (pic). yup! you read it rite! Diamond hor!

The limited-edition hair tamer is made in 18-carat yellow and white gold and is encrusted with six Dutch Crown Rose Cut diamonds for that luxury trim retailing at £9,500. And, ooo... the device comes encased in an Italian leather pouch. That's what it need, a leather pouch for that price huh!!!.

and if like me, you can't afford that! well...worry not! yet still want ur hair curled or straighten in public, say for a touch up, cos God forbids, you know after a while your curl kinda loses it's curl (i know Jwong have this problem-salon for 5 hours and one wind blow- all gone). well...ta-dah,

this ppl are so so damn smart....(pic) It's real and in full operation apparently;£1 for 90 secs. So Scarlot or Sherry or Ceeps, have you ladies been busy curling ur hair in the public washroom?

yup! i got a new gadget : hardrod! muahaha!

Wat the ho? external storage-but not ur ordinary one hor.

look at my the package. Good things come in small packages, i tell you. This one comes with all the necessary cables to do all the necessary things haha! Even comes with a remote! Cool ya! (ok maybe me sa kai lah)

hardrod can stored 120MB worth of hmm...stuffs lah.
and best thing about it, is the casing which allow me to plug straight to the tv to watch all the 'stuffs' inside.
Cos my almost 7 year old DVD player does not play divx format. So it's really 2-in-1 yeah!!!! actually apparently hardrod can be used as an mp3 player as well, just plug in the earphone-not yet try out. Shh!!! dun tell rodpod! later angry.

and ooo i managed to bargain. Who doesn't love a bargain? hmm... from B$255 to B$198, and managed to throw in a cover for hardrod. wahoo!!! Knowing they can reduce that much, and it's made in china, i do wonder wat's the cost price?

ps. need to thank MV for letting me know such a gadget/casing exist.

But now, now...they haveyup...chewin' gum. bought it and ....hmm it taste kinda strange. dunno how to describe it. the texture is not as smooth as other gum.
