Countdown XXX version...

I was youtubing, watching various programmes on utube - for those living in caves; Utube got loads ( i mean loads) of videos ok. So one after another, i saw the name: Carol Vonderman- the maths genius.

yes yes! unlike the other maths genius who hmm...how shall i say this without offending hos' escorts or service gals out there, who gave private maths tuition or giving out formulae while pleasuring her customers. well done! at least she still remember them. So kids, education is very very the important!!!!Anyway,Carol Vonderman reminds me of my Uni days and the countdown theme tune. (pic)

Consonant, please Carol.
another one...
another one...
Vowels please,
another one...
consonants...and ended up having words like:

(either straight off the board as it is i.e anagram, or words found by the contestants)

yup! countdown had their fair share of rude words. Wat are the chances, Carol?

FART..., POO..., MINGERS, FANNIES, WANKERS, ORGASMED, BOLLOCKS, ERECTION, CUNTFLAPS (What the?- Scarlet, explain wat is that please?)

and how cum when i tuned in, all the above words did not appear on my screen hmmm?

then how erotic? the numbers round.

Four Large and 2 small please Carol, or 2 large and 4 small, Carol dear...

famous rats...

To welcome the year of the Rat...i thought just like my previous famous piggies & bunnies, let me see how many famous animated rodents, that i can remember.

1. Mickey Mouse. Com'on, all kids and adults should know who mickey is? from 2D to 3D, from small to the big screen, from disneyland to disneysea....when u mention mickey, you got to give a shout out to minnie too. (pic)

2. Ariba ariba. this little devil runs like thunder- Speedy Gonzales
*to be honest, i dun even know his name till i googled it. all i know is ariba ariba!!! (pic)

3. There is even a kid song about them: Three Blind Mice.

Look they even appeared in Shrek.(pic)

4. Jerry of Tom & Jerry. Is it a she or is it a he? or simply it? Jerry can be annoying sometimes and sometimes Thomas can be horrible.

But nonetheless, they are funny to watch even now. classic. (pic)

5. Ratatoulie - this one i did not watch but heard it was funny.

6. Who moved my cheese?- the book. How many of you read it?

read it if you hv not. it teaches you how to make cheese, catch rats and so forth... (pic)

7. Mousetrap. no no not the actual trap to trap mice, but the play-which i vaguely remember seeing on the poster on west end. nope, i hv not seen it. well it had the word 'mouse'.

8. DangerMouse
the white furred, eye patch wearing detective mouse. (pic)

9. Mighty Mouse- i remember watching the cartoon many many years back,
not really funny is it? (pic)

10. lastly, all i think of...is the Rat Pack. Not physically rodents but made up of 5 all singing-all dancing grown men. (pic)

i'm sure there are more rats, but these are what i can remember. fill free to add...

ps. i'll be busy for the next couple of days as it's open houses time ie free food and mahjong/ 3 Kings / in-between time yo!!!! and all will be starting from tonite!!! muahahahhaha!!!!...so till then...

i wish all of you....
A HAPPY MOUSEY YEAR and and and...

the end: a new beginning...08

wat have you guys achieved in 2007?

that's the dreaded question we asked each other at the end of the every year... o gosh!

seriously wat have I done in the past 365 days that i'm really really proud off or worth a mention? hmm...

work wise - let's see...couple of feasibility studies which i'm pleased with, unfortunately cannot show you guys as it's PnC.

However, 2007 saw the birth of the monument, the 'blue' church finally got approved-phew! (will take some pics soon), and another on-going project on site.

money wise - would love to earn more (who doesn't) and me no entrepreneur like him, as i dun have any business mind. so no end of year balance sheet or profit/loss account to show. For those feeling generous, i can give u my bank a/c number or paypal a/c for any donations.

love wise - well, like all relationships: there are ups & downs, happy moments & frustrations. If you tell me, yours is all highs and no fights; let me know how u do it; cos i seriously doubt it. I believe we know each other pains-in-the-butts and other annoying habits, but it's always nice to have that someone there by your side, share your rants & well...do things any adult do.

travel wise - Tokyo - hands down!!!

one of the most foreign distinct cities in Asia. I hv been asked loads of time,"So you gonna back again?" answer: (u see...i m a very indecisive person.) Dun get me wrong...i heart tokyo to the T (no pun intended) and there are soooo much more to explore in the city but at the same time, there are soooo many other cities i would like to visit in 2008 or in the future. So i guess Yes! but not anytime soon. (unless there's any kind sponsors or readers willing to provide me any free trips!*wishing)

moment of 2007

went through the archives of 2007 (450 posts in total-woot! so many craps i have written)

1. (top of the list)
went to watch the best music show ever in HK
Sandy Lam Live 2007 and as a cherry on top of the cupcake;
met & hugged our diva and had our picture taken. Man!!!

2. sat my exam (trying) to be 'yellow'. Real intense and what a relieve after. Result will only be out mid year 2008. So wish me luck.

3. safari 30. how can i forget this?

ok...it may not be the best party...by far...but it's my party and i got everyone to come in safari-inspired outfit. No names shall be mentioned: catsuit, and load of animal prints.

4. Besides Tokyo being the travel of 07 for me, the short trip to KK with Z deserves a mention.
why? i got to stay in a brilliant resort, went snorkeling, got myself tanned (which i so need of one now), and managed to buy everything in Seed store for 50%...thanks to the manager. Would definitely love to go back there soon.

5. Bidarlah finally went dot.com haha! thanks to Z :)

6. Got myself a new E-phone! yeah!!! It's not tat big as you guys say ok!!! it's just the right size otherwise how to blog huh? now searching for the perfect cover...and might have just found one.

wat happened in 2007 around me?

1. Book fairs.
why are book fairs in brunei always such a let down. in March & on board.

2. Bloggies
since i started, a few of the bidarlahs joined the blogosphere and at the same time a few of them vanished into thin air- (name shame time haha)

MV - i think he stayed in Japan ever since
Jollibert - well...maybe McD ate them up? o they moved to sesame street?
Sherry's Cafe - got locked up and maybe renovating into a bar.
Cest'a vie- well...maybe too busy with all the jet setting's lifestyle.

add the same time, met a few new bloggies and became my dailies, check out the sidebars. I will add more soon.

3. Byes
the Yip clans temporarily moved their base to London as mama J doing her master.
Hippo Von moved to the lioncity doing her hmm...bar? or something...becoming a 'hooter' maybe hehe!

4. Brothers & Sisters
How can i not mention my top show for 2007 (ok it was released the year before i think but anyway) ... why are u so cute? and U got to have faith! For those who have not watch any, I URGE U to do so. Series 2 is showing now.

5. facebook - the new friendster; the only place where anyone can poke or throw sheep or bitchslap anyone, and the new platform for busybodies to peep into your frienemies's life without them know.

Q: Does higher number means you are a social moth or otherwise? How many applications have you got or keep on receiving? I got 170 new applications yet to be approve and will i add them: NO. can't be ask to delete as they will keep on coming anyway.

another end of year question is : What is your new year resolution? Do you still remember yours? wat was yours last year? mine was this one, and did i achieve it. Nope! Being a monkey is not that easy ya! i tell you. too adventurous.

and this year...well...wat should i procrastinate wish for now? hmm....

Looking forward to 2008 with open arms and wishes ALL of U beautiful guys & handsome dolls Da Best. If in 2007, i offended or pissed off anyone, well...there must be a reason for it and let bygone be bygone. Bury it and move on, i say: Life is short for all the sadness & grudges, so i delicate this fantastic song to everyone which i .

Goodbye Sadness...(Joi Kin Bei Ngoi)

it's the end of the year...so put up ur feet and relax or better still...lie on a beach & enjoy the moment.

Hope 2008 is a new beginning for everyone...

Why???

everytime i hear this song on my rodpod, i tell you...it reminded me of the singer, somehow not the original artiste but the askar (army) gal who belted her lungs out & stomped her legs everytime.

seriously...no kid, she can shout sing, but her expression...timeless... do miss her singing. You go gal...

which song? for those who knows...haha! ironically, like the song...why?? why she does that? why? mengapa????

started off slow & easy...

Mengapa kau pergi, Mengapa kau kecewakan, Mengapa kau hancuri, Mengapa kau menghinakan, Mengapa kau sakiti, Mengapa kau melukakan, Mengapa kau memberi,
Mengapa kau melupakan, Mengapa kau akhiri, Mengapa Kau Melupakan,
Dengan getaran jiwa, Kukemukakan pertanyaan

Tak ingin kau pergi, Tak ingin kudikecewakan, Tak ingin cinta dinodai, Tak ingin dihancurkan,
(hands started to go in the air)
Tak ingin kudisakiti, Tak ingin kudilukakan, Tak ingin ku kau kuberi, Bila kau melupakan

(now...-hands head, body...)

(hands and legs NOW- stomp)
Kau..bisa membahagiakan menceriakan
Kau..bisa menggembirakan mempesonakan
Akuingin dicintaimu dan mencintai
Akuingin bila terjaga kau di sampingku S'lamanya

(more.,..more...divaness)- on top of her little body----her voice...ahgrhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Semoga cinta bersemi, Semoga cintamu kan dekat padaku, Asmara kan mengundang, Tanpa mengira waktu bertahta di hatimu dan di hatiku.(pic1, 2 )

hmm...think beyonce & mariah - not the body lah (well...maybe she does have such body covered under those camouflage-for all i know?) but the hand & legs movement, but one notch higher. hehe!

curry rice 2007

back in St. george's in our pre-puberty days, where going to school is a daily routine.

Now fast forward hmm...x number of years later. haha! i think double digits, gosh! wondered what's everyone been up to? where have they been? how's life and all?

well...last saturday we had our curry-rice mini class reunion. why curry rice? if those who went to school with us, the curry rice is THE best thing. No joke i tell you.

The queue during recess was always long and we shorties (primary 1 to 6) just could not fight with our seniors, and resorted to getting help by asking those taller guys (whom we knew off) to help us to get a box, if we wanted our food faster. And it's only a dollars man! the taste is unforgettable.

The organisers A & V, got the auntie (owner of the tuckshop) to cook us a big pot. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

I had 2 helpings-who cared for the other food that nite. ALL OF US, yes! ALL of us queued up like school kids i tell you for the curry chicken. dun play play.

Everyone including ME, agreed that the taste is still the same. gosh! the moment A, lifted up the lid of the tray, it hit you by the nose and man! it's nostalgic. After swallowing the first mouthful, i can still remember the good old days man! The taste is exactly the same-have i not mentioned it already. The after taste of the curry in your pallet-left me eating kinda like a vulture. So sorry if i did not talk much during dinner haha! Plus i'm hungry.

Ok! How are you? Where have you been? where are u now? where u work? Wow! you hv not change! hmm...do i know you? Are we in the same class? OMIGOD! how hv you been?

yup! those were some of the icebreakers for the night for most of us? It's been such a long time since we saw everyone. The look on some of our faces were brilliant: if only i snapped some of them: surprised, shocked, puzzled, wat the ho?

These are my primary class friends
we have: an accountant cum beauty spa owner, investor, graphic designer*, interior designer*, istana maintenance, hardware shop owner, insurance agency*, life coach/import-export, IT@dst, doctor, event management*, speech therapist, singaporean on transit, banker (SCB) cum restaurant owner, landscape gardener* (or somesort), mother of 4, mother of 1, secretary/assistant to SUT of MOFAT), banker (IBB), and i know i missed a couple more. sorry guys!

* own business. G brought pictures and i must say, OMIGOD! looking at old photos can be really fun and the laughters you hear from everyone were overwhelming, and asking one another, do you remember so and so?... good old times.

cant wait for the next bigger reunion and hoping we will get more people this time, and ooo we sooo have to dig out the boxes for old yearbook.

ps. I found out i'm in primary 6A. yes! haha!

outlet...

guys & dolls...when you look at the pic, does it remind you of anything? i took it few days ago while walking along it and suddenly...

I'm sure doctor, elim, soon, and even our long lost friend ah lee will have vivid memories.

After tuition (friday), back in the hey days huh! (*hehe), we all ran to the magazine/book store in town, going through all the latest-just arrived-magazine from HK for .... yes!!! our sandy. Madness!!! We would ask the gal there to keep any magazines with sandy's pic or articles or posters behind the counter for all of us to 'see & check' first haha!

Ming Pao, Tong Fong, Chea Mei, 100, East, O Siang... The thing is they only ordered 3 max so we have to make sure we get them before 'release' to the public haha! and if they ran out, we tried to look for the mag in other book store. I do wonder does anyone out there does this anymore? Fanatic!!! All for the love & 'craziness' of our Sandy.

Now where are all those mag cuttings? I know where mine are.

Those were the good old times, when life is so much care-free-ish huh.

be patriotic...

You know it's that time of the year, when you see banners hanging in front of all the shops everywhere, and when you see billboards everywhere with HM faces with well wishes to our country from various self promoting companies. Yes! Our Abode of Peace will be celebrating her 23rd National Day next friday, which is the 23rd Feb. So i cant help but wonder, if anyone will be celebrating his or her 23rd birthday or 23rd anniversary on the very same day? If so, i'm not bothered. haha!

I hv not been much patriotic or wake up early to catch the celebrations myself on tele or live for years (was abroad- tat's my excuse reason), and to be honest not sure how many of my friends do that either? The only time i was part of it or shall i say, 'made to' be part of the celebration was in Form 4 or 5. Tat was fun though, i got to say. Ok at that time, most of us did not really want to cos it's hot or dun wanna get charcoalled - practices and dry-runs day after day in the stadium. But looking back at it, it was fun cos we all got to go out of the classrooms, and best of all, meet our friends who studied in other schools. OK and also show wat we (students from BES) can do! Bring it on!

One memory stuck in my mind and i'm sure a few of us will remember was that very year, b4 our doctor became a doctor prescribing paracetamol, and still in MS; he somehow managed to get hold of Sandy's Come back to Love LP (brilliant album btw) way before any of us. So post dancing & parading under the hot sun, in the middle of the field; all of us rushed to look for him to listen to the album and look at the album's sleeves. That made our day! Those were the days, i think, where you really really appreciate a new album, cos internet wasn't in use in this part of the world yet. The waiting, the anticipation, the surprises, and the rush to the music shop to buy original CD. In our cases, also to the book shops to grab of any magazines tat have sandy lam's news & also to the video shop for any new tapings of sandy lam live performance. Those were the days!!! (pic)

Now, with the internet & technology, not sure if it's a good thing cause buying a CD or waiting for a new single has kinda lost it's appeal.

Anyway, back to the topic, the parade or celebration has been moved to the park in central town itself rather than the national stadium since i dunno when, and dun know why? Not really sure if it's a good or bad choice. I heard or read abt negatives like: traffic, traffic, traffic - this issue is already like an excuse or issue for any event, so wat's new? But i'm sure there are positives otherwise the organisers would not have chosen the venue for years. Maybe it's cosier, maybe it's smaller in scale, maybe it's in central town itself. Maybe...

Like all parties or celebrations, there are different themes & logos for Our National Day every year, and this year it's “Iltizam Memperkasa Keupayaan Bangsa” or “Commitment Empowers National Capability”. For more information on the buildup to the celebration, check out their site for time, pics & more. (pic)
