Viwawa barred us?

Most of us joined viwawa primarily to play wahjong with friends in our own home just to pass time and talk shit all chat while at the game or with unknown players* around the world.

*well most of those i played with are normally residing in the Lioncity or KL.

It was fun, creating our free wawa, practicing our mahjong wahjong skill, win and go up to the next level. hip hip hurray!

well, suddenly for the past few weeks, it went MIA? Viwawa is still there. The forum is updated daily with users commenting and all. But the log-in to wahjong itself is missing. I thought to myself then, maybe viwawa is upgrading or doing maintenance or something, you know like WOW they do their maintenance once a week for gamers.

However, wahjong had been missing for weeks, till our Jwong forgot her login.

so i decided to email the viwawa's support team for more info, as it's getting kinda strange. No one in other country complained in the forum but players in Brunei cannot gain access to wahjong or Big 2. hmm... I told J'z, maybe just us? I even asked him to try to log-in while he was in spore but he did not bring his lappie when he was there.

Q: Princess Wong & Prince Yuen, can you guys still play wahjong?

today i got a reply from viwawa's support team

Hi,

Right now, Viwawa has partnered with a Brunei company to roll out more Viwawa games to Brunei players. In order to avoid conflict of games and business environment, we have to take the decision to remove certain games from Viwawa.

This ruling will only affect players within Brunei. Over the next few months, you will be seeing more fun and engaging Viwawa games which will not be of a conflicting nature.


I cant help but wonder, Is that a nice way of saying, you guys in Brunei are banned from playing wahjong cos it's some form of gambling. huh? Who on our end contacted them? WE ARE NOT PLAYING WITH MONEY for God's sake. So my initial thoughts were right! Someone on our end did something or approached them. It's free, harmless fun. No drugs. No money involved. No guns. No shark loans. why why?

Or maybe, they are really working with someone here? I dunno how? Who i wonder? But what games will they come out with? Snakes & Ladders? Congkak? Gasing? Rubber seeds?

I replied them asking why didn't they post it on their site about them or email us regarding their decision to remove certain games from Viwawa for players in Brunei.

Still awaiting their reply on this.
